There’s a whole lot going on in Vancouver in the next few weeks that I can barely keep up. I can’t remember the last January where there were so many options to be entertained!
Movies I really want to see on the big screen:
- Casino Royale
- Babel
- Happy Feet
- Curse of the Golden Flower
- Children of Men
- Pan’s Labyrinth
Live productions I want to see:
- Vigil (with the Vancouver Playhouse)
- The Magic Flute (with Vancouver Opera)
- The Producers (though I will most likely try to catch it on Broadway when I go to NY in May)
Exhibits I wanted to attend but didn’t get around to:
- Bodyworlds 3 (at Science World)
- Dead Sea Scrolls (at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle)
In terms of fine dining, I will be doing the Dine Out Vancouver event on the last two weekends of this month at:
- West (formerly known as Ouest)
- Quattro on Fourth
Realistically speaking, given my volunteer commitments and my budgetary constraints, I won’t be able to see everything I want to see. Most likely it will be the stage over the screen for best value, and whichever I can find company to go with.
